My 310 Calorie Breakfast

One half a whole wheat bagel, toasted and with a smidge {less than 1/2 tsp} of butter.
One half of a juicy grape fruit.
And one packet of maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal topped with a handful of blueberries.
This breakfast had lots of items, was filling, covered two fruits and two grains, and is only  one seventh of my daily caloric intake {at 2200 for a nursing momma}.  So, I feel pretty happy about it!  What did you have for breakfast today?

  1. Considering I still can hardly taste anything I did enjoy my berry protein shake for breakfast. I'll be blogging about it later since it also had some special ingredients in it.

  2. I like this breakfast because it has so many different parts. Something bready, something warm and sweet and something fruity.

  3. I had oatmeal with blueberries this morning, only I ate way too much because I'm still trying to figure out the portion size whether you measure it before or after you cook it. I ended up eating over 500 calories and it's not even 10:00am. It's gonna be a long day!

  4. Sue, I know home made is better for you, but I do the packets because I know exactly how many calories I'm getting. 1 packet = 140 cal.

  5. I had a protein bar for breakfast because i did not wake up until 7:30am and had to get Christina to school and myself to work and all by 8:15am.

  6. A chocolate protein shake with ice to make it almost like a milk shake is always a good start of the day on the run.
