My Challenge Challenger . .

So I feel like I'm doing most things right.  But I have to confess that I have pretty much ditched the idea of doing exercise right now, and here's why:  my body is controlled by a nine month old.  As in he owns my chest.  And he determines how much sleep I get at night.  Let me tell you outright - it ain't much!  I am a wimpy wimp.  I cannot function when I am flailing around on six hours a night sleep.  I cannot function when my horomones are wacko.  Just ask my husband.  Or Audrey.  She's seen my house as of late.  I am not super functional.

But - the husband is a good man.  And last night he and I had a plank-off.  Then we did sit ups and push ups together before hopping into our toasty bed for some rest.  And we're going to do it again tonight, but this time I'm going to bring the hand weights up from the basement and we're going to do some lifting too.  He will challenge me when I don't feel like it.  And he will be a great partner.  He always is.

That will have to be enough for now.  Hope you're all doing better with the exercise than I am! :)

  1. There is a time and place for everything! You are great to realize you have limitations. My husband BEGS me to get more sleep. Most nights I get about 6 which really starts to wear on a person. You are great to keep going and doing just a little will make a difference. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

  2. I think your challenger guy is awesome and so are you because you keep trying to find new and creative ways to get some exercise in! I never managed to fit exercise in when I was nursing. So, I am very impressed with all that you manage to do. Truly.

  3. Your house looks great. Your trying to redecorate so there's bound to be some chaos. How about trying to do some wii fit at home while the baby plays in the playroom. Also, you should take a nap with him in the afternoon. Hang in there as there are only two months to go before school is out and hopefully a little more shut eye time when that happens.

  4. Great way to find ways to sneak in some exercise. I think part of taking care of yourself is realizing your limits. Sometimes sleep is more important than exercising. Our bodies need that time that we sleep to re-charge and to fight off illness and stress. So for now get some zzzzzz's and re-evaluate in 2 weeks. Keep hanging in there!

  5. I'm with you on the sleep part. And now I feel as if I am getting even less with this pregnancy (or maybe I'm just extra tired). All I can manage is a slow walk in the mornings (
three year-olds tend to pick every single flower they come across and have absolutely NO sense of urgency). I think I will try to do all those little exercises right before bed. Good job!
