What's Your Choice of Multivitamin?

No matter how healthy you eat, experts say that you still need a Multivitamin. It's impossible to cover all the specific nutrients that your body needs EVERY day and you need all you can to keep that machine running in tip top shape. We're busy doing a variety of things and we can use all the help we can get and I have to say this is an EASY help.

I use to take a women's One A Day. Until my visit to a super fit friend who had lost a lot of weight over the last few years. She pulled out this vitamin pack from Costco. At first I was, gee that's a lot of stuff but then after trying it I've stuck to it and so has Chris.

The box sits right inside my cupboard. As you can see this cupboard has all the essentials for a active family, vitamins, allergy pills, lots of water bottles. Yes, a whole shelf for water bottles and I'm telling you they get used a lot! But its right in front of me so I can't forget to take it! There's another reason I know if I've remembered but keep reading for that.

So this little pack has a lot of bang for your buck. (But not for you if you're pregnant or nursing!)

It contains a Multivitamin, Vitamin E, two Calciums, Asian Ginseng, Vitamin C, and B-50 Vitamins. The funny thing is now that I'm drinking a lot of water you'd think my pee would run clear....but the B-50 Vitamins are a little orange pill that makes your pee florescent yellow. It's always a reminder that I've taken my vitamins for the day. I kind of makes me giggle every time.

I know it may seem like a lot but I'm covering my bases in one packet instead of a ton of bottles I have to open.

So what type of vitamin are you taking and is there any specific reason you chose it?

  1. oh my gosh Audrey, I think I better switch my vitamin. I take one of the kids dinosaur vitamins everyday because they are so yummy! I do have a bottle of womens one a day, but if I don't take it with food, it makes me throw up. Do yours make you nauseous at all?

  2. 1 Centrum silver, 1 Vitamin D tablet, two calcium, 2 fish oil, 2 flax seed oil, 1 baby aspirin, 4 Glucosamine Chondroitin. I take half in the morning and half at night. I take all of them with food because they are absorbed better that way. Yep, it's a lot of BIG capsules!

  3. Oh, I just started the Glucosamine this week at the recommendation of my trainer, in two weeks I'll only have to take 2 a day.

  4. I am presently taking a vitamin called 8 zone. Best vitamins I have ever taken. The drawback is the expense. But on the other hand I feel alot better.

  6. I'm taking the Woman's one a day. But I know I should be taking more, especially calcium, fish oil and B. One more reason to make my way over to Costco. I wonder if it's possible to isolate what's making people nauseous in their vitamins.

  7. I've just been taking a prenatal vitamin because that's what I had in the cabinet leftover from my nursing days. Sounds like I need to step it up!

  8. I have not been taking a multi vitamin because I am nursing and because they make me constipated. I even quit taking the prenatals. Bad, I know, but as some of you can understand, it is more important for me to not get stopped up right now . . .

  9. Did anyone else laugh at the fact that Audrey "giggles" when she pees? Too funny! I'm just taking a basic Women's One a day multi-vitamin. My friend takes the Shaklee vitamin system and LOVES it. It reminds me of the one Audrey is taking from Costco. I think I'll be heading to Costco. Audrey should get a commission off of this. :)

  11. I take womens one a day everyday and my skin is healthier I dont have to worry about my bone health.People never say if it makes your hair longer or not they just brush it off and dont even bring it up. For those of you who are wondering yes it does make your hair longer not "look" longer. And it's best to take it everday and be patient.
