Helloooo Ladies!

My name is Mikki, and I'm so excited to be joining the challenge.
I did the Ladies Olympic Challenge earlier this year, and I lost about thirty pounds. I've since gained back between five and ten of those pounds. Not horrible, but not terrific either. And definitely not the way I want to see the scales move.
Ok, here's the nitty gritty.
I'm 5'4" and I currently weigh about 165 (last time I checked, which was last week, before Thanksgiving! So now I'm probably five pounds heavier LOL).
I would really like to lose another twenty to thirty pounds. I know I can do it.
The accountability is really key for me. That's when I lost the weight last time, when I had the LOC to report in to.

My goal for the extra thirty points is to read my scriptures every day.
I've been so bad about it lately, and I can feel the loss of that in my life.
So, I think I'll take an hour in the mornings to dedicate to myself.
A half hour of physical improvement, and a half hour of spiritual improvement.
If I miss a day of scripture reading, then I lose those thirty points.
Seems like pretty good incentive!
I really look forward to getting to "know" all of you.
Here is my personal blog, if you'd like to stop by and get to know me a little better.
Good luck everyone!

  1. Mikki, so excited that you have decided to join us and can't wait to get to know you better. I think you can earn the 30 goal points this go around, Christmas is a the perfect time to be committed to reading the scriptures and combining that with physical exercise well, that just makes you a winner in my book.

  2. Mikki,

Welcome to the board! I am at 165 too, well at least I was last time I weighed myself though I'll admit I am nervous to get on the scale again after the last couple weeks. I guess the important thing is to continue looking forward and not get too down on ourselves when we have a not so good week(s), right?
I love your scripture goal, and agree with Queen V. it is perfect for this time of year. Best of luck and welcome to the group.

  4. Mikki I'm so glad you've joined us here. I remember reading about your successes with the Ladies Olympic Challenge. I hope you find success here too. There are many people that don't know each other on this blog. We've gotten to know each other through our post. Some of the ladies actually met up and had lunch together in Utah during the Queen V and Drangonfly visit from the East Coast.

We will keep you accountable so keep up the good work. I think you're goals sound great. "Healthy" is not only physical.
