Out of Control

Out of control, that's me today.

2 pieces of pumpkin pie
3 pieces of coconut lime banana bread
1 egg
2 mini candy bars

Then finally something healthy, black bean soup and a salad!

Oh, and I didn't go to the gym as I had planned to do!

I feel disgusting and I'm disgusted with myself.

Thank goodness tomorrow is a new day and the pie and banana bread are gone, thanks to me.

Have you ever had a day like this?

  1. Oh man, sounds like me two days ago. I can assure you that "do overs" really do work. Maybe your body really needed it...because it was craving it? At least, that's what I tell myself. Plus, one day off won't hurt your progress. You're amazing...and I hope I look like you when I am your age. Keep plugging along!

  2. Sounds like my entire month of September. Ugh. But I'm starting again. That's what enduring is all about, right?

  3. hmmm... that would be TODAY!! I have got to get back... my daughter went to the doctor and they are very concerned about her LOW weight. SO, of course, I decide to eat everything in the house to help her out! I was just doing my duty and helping her by doing the eating...(hee hee) Problem is, it doesn't go on her little bones but it sure added to mine!

Don't worry, I did a lot worse then you!

  4. Yep, yep, yep, that's how I got to be 250 pounds. Wait, did I just sound depressing? Here's the positive - since joining HWHL and counting calories, I have hit the reverse button BIG TIME. Having everyone to talk to and listen to here in blogland has really changed my perspective, and helped me to stay focused on my goals. And one of the things that I've learned is that when you fall off the wagon, you can celebrate getting back on. There are many not-so-perfect days, but allowing yourself to wipe the slate clean the next day allows you to feel good about your progress in the long run. You say to yourself, "I have the skills to be healthy, and I CAN DO IT!!"

  5. That sounds like me for the past...when did I get pregnant? 220 days now? Okay, probably not that many days...in a row. But I have those days a little more often lately. I'm mentally prepping myself for the holidays. The rolls, sweet breads, candies, cookies, my huge weakness (EGGNOG). And the great thing is, just like Becky said, we can get right back on the next day, or even the same day, why not?

  6. I think it's amazing to remind ourselves that we are not perfect, but we keep trying. You look Fabulous Queen!

  7. Yes, mine usually involve a batch of chocolate chip cookies or ginger snaps.
