My gift to you...

I have yet to learn how to pull images off the computer SO after trying for 30 minutes I gave up and am posting a picture of my daughter with SNOWSHOES on :)

My gift would be snowshoes. Why? Because it gives you a great healthy activity to do in the winter time. It gets you above the inversion and into the beautiful sunshine.
Our family bought them a few years ago and have had some really fun Saturdays up in the mountains.
On our first trip out,  Emily was SO excited to go snowshoeing with her new pink snowshoes...when we got to the spot she yelled, "HEY, this is just like HIKING! I HATE hiking!" We had to convince her it was an ADVENTURE and she could take pictures of all the little treasures she found.
Even, Emily who "Hates hiking" had a good time!
I have realized I need it for therapy. I NEED sunshine in my life to make me a better mom, wife and person all around.
I wish I could buy them for you and we could somehow get together and go out for a day in the mountains. Now that would be a FUN day!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  1. It would be fun. I can just see us all traipsing through the snow with snow shoes on, I'd probably be whining but it would still be fun. Love the picture.

  3. The only time I ever went snow shoeing was at a BYU class. My husband and I had just started dating. It was a ton of fun.

With all the snow we had last year I wish I had a pair....I should see how much they are...we may be in for another doozy of a winter.

You're right, fun, exercise and family time...I love this gift!

  4. I would snow shoe in sunny Colorado or Switzerland, but not in cold, gray Ohio. I would need the sun to counteract the cold. But I think it's awesome that your whole family did it together!

  5. Oh, this just solidifies my desire to own a pair of snow shoes! I've been wanting to try them out for about 4 years, but I don't know anyone who has some. It sounds like so much fun!

  7. It really is fun and it's easier to hike up hills with snow shoes then regular hiking!

  9. How funny! I actually asked for snow shoes for Christmas. I lost my pair when we moved to VA years ago and miss snow shoeing! I LOVE it! Jeff doesnt want to get them for me because we only get a few snow falls a year. I say, 1 snow fall is all I need, LOL.
