Want to Join?

Wanna Join? This is the blog Audrey showed us last week. I've been reading some of her stuff and quite frankly, I like her style. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know of the challenge she's doing if you want to join in. I know for all you fellow supporters, you could do this with little trouble.

  2. Sign me up! This is just the kind of thing that motivates me. How are you guys tracking your miles? Do you have those GPS watches? I'm using mapmyrun.com and I wonder about it's accuracy.

  3. Darn, my comment didn't post. GRRR!

Mindy, you need to go on her blog and e mail her your information. She also has a calendar you can print off to track your miles. You might have already seen all that. I have a running watch. It tracks how many miles I've gone. That's how I'm going to do it. If you are getting into running more, it's something I strongly suggest. It's fun to be able to just go wherever you want and know how far you have gone. I'm hoping this can be a family goal. Take the kids for a bike ride while mom gets her walking/running miles in. I am so excited you guys are doing it too. It's a fun and very duable challenge.

  4. Mindy, I hope you are still reading these comments.

I have a Garmin watch which I love but it was expensive and it's bulky. I used it tons during our Avon walk training.

I don't know if you're mapmyrun is on your iphone or not but I downloaded an app called RunKeeper. It uses the GPS on your phone to track your distance. I read about it in a magazine and was totally excited to get it...but it doesn't work with my 1st Generation phone so I broke out the Garmin watch.

I think this will be a fun way to keep motivated this summer!!

  5. Ok, thanks for the info girls. I may have to put it on my birthday list. This is still a little weird for me, I just never thought I would be the type of person who got excited about fitness accessories.
