For real?!

Sometimes when I'm strolling down the grocery aisles, I see some new product or produce that just stops me in my tracks. Once it was snail shells with a can of vacuum-packed snails. The shells were so pretty that I bought them. Never made anything with the can of snails. Once it was this weird asian fruit called Buddha's Hand. It was so pretty that I bought three. Never made anything with those either. {Although I did cut them up for their delicious lemony smell}.

Then there are other times. The times when I stop in my tracks and my inner voice says to itself "Is that for real?! No way!!" Here's the product that had that effect on me today: Baconnaise. I believe it's 80 calories a tablespoon. Ugh!

  1. Don't show that to my husband - he'd probably buy it! He just loves any types of bottled spreads and sauces. 6 feet tall and built like a bear - blame it on the sauces.

P.S. Nice pics!! You find the most interesting pictures on the net (at least, I assume that's where you are finding them! You should tutor the rest of us on your search techniques!)

  2. I can't believe you didn't eat the snails, love snails! I will pass up on the Baconnaise! I think we could have a weekly posting of "For Real" food items and then vote on the winner. You win this week.

  3. I just saw some squeezable bacon. Now I love bacon but that just sounds gross.
