Out of town and feeling the lbs.

I joined the blog and then went out of town for a week to a cabin wherin my family eats, drinks and be's merry for 6 days and 7 nights.  Grr.  I gained 4 pounds this week.  It was total anarchy.  So now I'm just going to start again tomorrow and aim for the things I was doing before.  I'm sure those 4 lbs will be gone soon because I do not eat like that at home.  Still. .  . grrrrrrr.

  1. Blast! Those vacation pounds are frustrating. So is spending an entire week couped up with your family. But I digress...

Those pounds will hit the road in a hurry, just count those calories and move your body everyday. Love you, glad you're back!

  2. Sue's right, soon those pounds will just be a vague memory. And the fresh memory will be how great you feel as your body rewards your healthy eating!

  3. I hate it when that happens. They are right though. Pounds that come on that fast disappear fast. So glad to have you back!

  4. Sadly I must admit I have done the same thing this week. The boys were gone on a backpacking trip (I would have gone but I refuse to take two kids in diapers) so those left behind went up to the cabin. I had all these great plans to eat healthy and do my running in the mountain air. Sadly about the only thing that got exercise was my mouth shoveling down all the yummy treats. I feel so crummy right now too.

Don't beat yourself up about this just make a commitment to change and move on. I hope those 4 pounds disappear quick.

  5. Yep, those pounds will be gone in days. As they say in the west, just get back on the horse. I think the pursuit of good health isn't about being perfect, it's about picking yourself up and continuing on after some "off" days. You can do it!

  6. It's REALLY a challenge Lori when you're out of your own home to keep ones healthy life on track, we just have to keep trying. As Becky said, "You just have to climb back on that horse."

It's been lmost one week for me here in Colorado, my only exercise has been keeping up with three granddaughters and as far as eating, I'm just trying not to gain back pounds.
