Good read anyone?

I think I have to read this book. It's only in hardback right now. But it sounds right up our alley. Here's a blurb from online:
"The way you eat is inseparable from your core beliefs about being alive. No matter how sophisticated or wise or enlightened you believe you are, how you eat tells all. The world is on your plate. When you begin to understand what prompts you to use food as a way to numb or distract yourself, the process takes you deeper into realms of spirit and to the bright center of your own life. Rather than getting rid of or instantly changing your conflicted relationship with food, Women Food and God is about welcoming what is already here, and contacting the part of yourself that is already whole—divinity itself."

  1. SERIOSLY!!?? Melissa you are so awesome! A friend of mine was telling me I needed to read this book. She said it was amazing. I completely forgot about it until you just reminded me. Thank You!

  2. I have been reading this book and it has been a bit life-altering for me. It's a very poignant book. Not one to read in a week. I like to sup from it's pages every night on my balcony and let it motivate me to live in the moment.

I've read some reviews on Goodreads. There are some who complain about her vague description of God but I find her approach perfect since her reach is non-exclusive.

From what I've read so far, I highly recommend it.

  3. I'll have to mention it in book club. Looks interesting!

  4. I am now one of many on my library's waiting list for this book!
