I wish I had a moment to find it....
Trainer Momma did a great post a while back that answers Mindy's question about how many calories you should eat to loose or maintain your weight. Most often, the online calorie totals are a little to generous. I've been a follower of Trainer Momma since it started, and I wish I had a moment now to find the post that gives a formula for how many calories you should eat. If you have a moment, skim through her posts to see if you can find it. I know it was last year. Let me know if you find it, otherwise I will see if I can find it later. (Just in case you wanted an answer now, it's there).

Ooh, I will look too. It seems like it is such a tricky balance between eating too much, and not eating enough...and it is so different from person to person. I would love to read that post. By the way Alicia, how are you?
ReplyDeleteHere it is:

I love the equation!! It has made it so simple. Thank you Marci and Trainer Momma!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Sue! How did you find it. Did you have to skim through all her posts, or have you found an easier way to look up the info?
ReplyDeleteOver on the right side where you see "Find It" there is a Google search engine that will search the blog for whatever subject you enter. I spent WAY too much time on her site tonight! But now I know that if I really want to drop a pound a week I need to cut back to 1700 calories instead of the 1800-2000 I've been doing.
ReplyDeleteSue, you are my new best friend! I've been trying to figure out forever how to search things easier on her blog. You just made my day, or night.
ReplyDeleteWow! Why did I come up with 1,460? That makes me kinda sad. hehe.
ReplyDeleteMine was 1,446 which is 130 more calories than I've been eating...nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue and Alicia! I put my numbers in and came up with 1592 if I want to lose a pound a week. But that's my average calorie intake and I haven't lost any weight in a while. I talked to smarty pants Audrey about it and she said that part of it may be because my body isn't as efficient as it should be yet. As I gain more muscle, my body will start burning calories better. This makes sense to me, since I'm still relatively new at being a "moderately active" person. Until then, I'm shooting for 1400-1550.
