I was up at 5 for an early morning spin class and I've decided to hit the sack early.
New studies have found that sleep is connected to healthy lifestyles and can actually prevent you from losing weight even if you are working out and eating right. They recommend 7-8 hours a night. Less is bad, more is bad too! Apparently the hormones that are related to weight loss are directed effected by sleep.
Are you getting enough sleep? How many hours are you getting? I know that there are some new moms out there that aren't getting enough but what would you be getting with a normal sleeping child?
6-8 hours, usually 7.
ReplyDeleteSleep...the elusive friend...some days yes sometimes NO. I'm trying to get more than 5 hours.
ReplyDelete6-7 hours on average, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteNow that the babies are sleeping, it ranges from 7-9 hours. I love my sleep and my babies understand that!!
ReplyDeleteNow that I live closer to work I get about 7.5 hours. I try to get to bed about 11pm. My body still thinks it needs to get up at 6am so most of the time I just lay there in the AM. I really should get up and do something with that time but I haven't gotten to that point yet.
ReplyDeleteNot enough on the days I get up super early. On those evenings, I really should pretend I don't have a television and/or telephone.
ReplyDeleteI try to get 7 hours of sleep. Sometimes it seems really hard. I have sleep issues, or lack there of, but exercising and healhty eating has helped that. I notice a huge difference in my attitude when I don't get good sleep.
