I am not sure how it happened or exactly when it started, but the tops of my feet just above where the toes join with the foot have been a little sore the last few days. I didn't realize how sore until today at dance. I could not do much jumping without it hurting my feet. Anyone ever had similar pain? Any suggestions on how to allow them to heal (aside from staying off them entirely)? I would welcome any suggestions you have. Thanks.
Wow, that's a weird one. I'm sorry Cammy! No fun at all! On another note, where's the post on how your dance class is going?
ReplyDeleteSounds like they may be bruised for some reason. Maybe to tight of shoes or at some point when you were kneeling they got pressed against something too hard. Is it both feet? I'm guessing that with time they will heal, stay off them "when you can" and pay attention to what shoes may be causing the pain.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how you progress...and more info on the dance class :-)
I know this sounds crazy but LOOSEN your shoe laces! My daughter was in horrible pain and I went through the same thing a few months later. Just lace the very bottom x and then go up the side leaving the part where you fill pain totally empty. lace up the side and don't criss cross till you have passed that spot. It will make a HUGE difference. One other suggestion is to make sure you have good shoes. Is it time to get new ones?
ReplyDeleteIf you need a visual of this I can take a picture of my laces, just let me know... good luck!
I heard a tip about lacing your shoes by starting at the top and ending (tying) near the toes so that you can control how tight the laces are at your sore spot.
ReplyDeleteYou might also want to ice them. I had pain there from Taikwondo and I just had to baby them, but ice really seemed to make a difference. I would ice them 3 times a day and then Chad would massage them every night. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the advice, definitely some great ideas. They already seem to feel better tonight so I hope as I baby them for the next little while they will continue to get better.
