New Year's Resolutions
My big resolution this year is this: to accomplish one house upkeep/redo project every two weeks.
It's been a year and a half since we moved into our current house and there are many little jobs that are almost done, just not quite. Some projects are easy (reorganize the DVD drawers); others are more difficult (anything involving paint). That means that I've already got my 30 point goals charted out for the entire year. No more missing that point jackpot for me. Nice, huh?
My family of five will also be adopting a new house cleaning system. What that system is I'm not quite sure. But the overhaul is much needed and will definitely involve child labor and some fun gimmick.
I'm guessing we are all resolving again to be healthier. One of my goals there is to reach level 3 on Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.
Any resolutions you're willing to share?

Those are great resolutions, and doable. I am not really good at new years resolutions but I do try to make mini goals throughout the year to keep me on top of things.
ReplyDeleteAhh, the never ending needs of a house! Just think of all that you'll accomplish! I know you are great at obtaining your goals!
ReplyDeleteMelissa,
ReplyDeleteWhen you get done with all those little projects at your house would you like to come to my house and start working on mine? ;)
I have been thinking a lot about what I really want to improve upon over this next year. I am still having a hard time narrowing things down. I think one will be organizing the downstairs. We have one big room that serves as a TV room, office and playroom and it just isn't working for us so it needs a rework. I would also like to run a 1/2 marathon this spring/summer. The spiritual goals are definitely the ones I am having the hardest time narrowing down. I would like to increase my temple attendance.
I'm sure I'll get things fined tuned in the next few days.
I shudder to think of my house! But I would like to put in the back yard this summer, meaning I want to clear out the gravel and rocks, and plant grass. Also, I want to break 160 by summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to hear what you're going to do for your house cleaning system. I definitely need help in this realm.
ReplyDeleteResolutions are always tough for me to follow through on, but I have to admit I think I did pretty good last year.
I've decided I'm dedicating this year to the Lord. That's my resolution--to try and keep this thought in mind daily, I'm hoping it will help me be more conscious of my actions and behaviors, the way I speak to my children, the way I interact with others, and in the decisions I make. It's a very scary undertaking for me.
Please keep us posted on your ideas for keeping your house clean. I love a clean house and organizing is not my strong point... I would love any tips! Good luck!
