I have some mini-painting goals: crown molding in our entryway and baseboard in our living room. Small goals...but that seems to be why they get overlooked...for over 8 months now.
I also want to walk a couple 5ks this summer and a couple more in the fall.
That's what I want to be accountable for this summer.
I want to run in at least one race... (problem is finding one my husband can do with me.) My biggest goal with this is finding JOY in my running again and not to worry about getting a certain time. This really will be a CHALLENGE!
Cammy and I are planning a 5k in August. We're currently doing the "Couch to 5k" program.
Pick up an aerobics class 2 days/week starting in July.
I want to do a studio show in October so I want to create 25 cards/week, at least 2 small paintings/month until October. And research the cost of reproductions by the end of July.
I'm currently working on my recipe book; lightening current recipes, finding healthy ones, listing the nutritional info on certain recipes. I want this project done by the first of July.
I want to focus my meals around fruits and veggies. One meal a day with raw veggies. I guess this goal really doesn't have a due date, just a daily goal.
Ride my road bike at least once a week Sign up for 100k and duathalon Get boys keepsake boxes put together Make sure to find time for the gym when family in town and at least 3 times a week during other times of the summer Complete 120 mile challenge
Win at this challenge...oh did I just say that out loud.
Awesome Audrey! When does this next challenge start? I'm anxiously pacing the floor to start again :)
Summer goals: Sign up for a race run three times a week set daily exercise activities with the kids Make a weekly exercise plan early to bed plan healthy snacks for vacations
I have so many things I want to do but I don't want to overwhelm myself and end up frustrated. I think this list is doable.
Run a 5K race in August with Jenn. I want to run the whole thing too.
Finish scrapbooking 2009 and get it printed and get caught up on indexing 2010 pictures. Also updating my family website.
Go to bed early enough to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
Finish the Book of Mormon with Abby before she turns 8 in September.
Organize my family room.
Spend a little time with each of my children and husband every day. Not just observing or being in the room with them but actively joining in and giving them my undivided attention.
Read the Book of Mormon Lose 8 pounds Get rid my shin splint and Plantar Fasciitis Get a complete physical, I'm way over due! Decide on paint colors for the interior of my home and start painting. Completely redo my craft room. Exercise 6 days a week Contact a landscaper Spend lots of time with friends and family.
Let's see...spend more time in prayer and reading the Word is my #1. Spending quality time with my kids is my next goal. oh yeah...exercise is in there too...walk 3 miles at least 4 times a week and finish my kitchen project.
Finish renovating my basement. Go on a weekly date with husband. Wean my baby. Recommit to a regular exercise regemin. Fit in the "skinny jeans" that have been sitting in my closet since I got pregnant.
Do my visiting teaching every month Maintain my weight during vacations Convince hubby to get me a gym membership DO A PULL-UP! (Maybe this one will take me till the end of the year.) Teach daughter Whitney to clean her bathroom
My definite priority this summer is finishing my Medical Transcription course work. That's going to be a tough one. I don't know if there is enough time to do it, with all the activities and reunions, but if I get to the end of the summer, and have worked on it at least two hours a day average, six days a week, I think I will consider that I achieved my goal, even if it's not completely done.
Another goal I would like to do, is to make at least one handmade card each week and post it on my craft blog. Then I have to give it to someone! You know what would be great? A birthday list of everyone on this blog. Then the few of us who do cards could send them to the birthday girls!
And, of course, I must continue tracking my food intake and exercise on myfooddiary.com. I had this goal to lose ten pounds by family reunion at the end of July, and I already achieved that! It feels amazing! I might even be able to lose 20 pounds by then. Wow! I can't tell you enough how awesome it feels to be in control of my body, instead of the other way around.
I'm a little late on this one, since there are only 5 weeks of summer left (for us), but my goal for the next 5 weeks is not to strangle my school-age children. Sad, I know, but true. Yes, I love my kids, and yes, I love them even more when they are in school :)
-Attend the temple in July and August. -Send my hubby some kind of care package or love note at least once a week while he's in mud school in Houston -Catch up on my 2010 family album (Digital Project Life) at least through April -Blog at least once a week
Well, so far I've achieved all my health/weight-loss goals, and then some!
But the rest is completely shot! I wound up changing my focus mid-summer, because we needed more money immediately, so I started selling my craft stuff on eBay again.
I thought it would be easier to get things done with the teenagers home this summer to help me with the little kids, but it seems like the opposite is true. When school starts here in a few weeks, the teenagers go back to school, and my 5-year-old starts kindergarden, leaving me with the 2-year-old and the baby. Frankly, I can't wait! I wish they'd all get out of my hair, so I can get things done!
Here's my work plan: do eBay and craft stuff the next few weeks, getting a website up and running with a shopping cart and coordinating it with my eBay store. Then, when the kids are back in school, I will spend 2 to 3 hours a day on my Medical Transcription.
Do you want one goal or several goals?
